Impact

As an artist captivated by water and detail, my camera roll is a constant archive of water in motion. This series aims to capture the precise moment of impact when an object meets water. I am constantly observing how we navigate life and the moments that shape us.

As my daughters go to college and step into new environments, I think about the impact they will have on that space, and the impact it will have on them. While I am on the golf course with my son, he notices the impact on his score when his ball hits the water — but I notice the splash it creates and how he finds a way to navigate the hole in the face of this unplanned moment. Life is all in your perspective, and these sculptures are my way of capturing that truth in glass.
