Sunset Wave

For a few moments each morning the world is calm, and, while most are asleep, I can hear the ocean waves in the distance as I lie in bed. As the world wakes up and starts the day, the ocean, ever present, is quieted by the sound of people headed out for the day. We hear life around us in the form of cars, trucks, barking dogs, and voices. As the day gets louder, we find ourselves overwhelmed at times in search of a calm and quiet moment.  One place I continually visualize is the ocean.  The ocean reminds us of our ability to keep going.  The ocean can have small or large waves, bright and sunny or stormy days, but it keeps moving. The ocean never stops, never stays the same, but is always familiar and ever-present. It brings us a sense of calm when we breathe the heavy ocean air or feel the sand between our toes.  Whether you live near the ocean or patiently wait for a calm vacation at it's shore, the ocean provides a sense of soothing and relaxation we all yearn for.
